Reminiscent of the characters in one of the heart-warming Christmas tales by Charles Dickens. Did some Victorians wear top hats in purple? The sailor's bar in Chelsea, named The Top Hat, repeatedly featured a purple top hat above the entrance. This 'tole' hat is easy to decorate with sprigs of holly and fragrant pine.
