VINTAGE ROYAL MAIL TRUNK LARGE

Diplomatic mailboxes were of tropical form and shape and sealed with leather belts and was seals.  Normally they were carried by diplomatic messenger couriers who never left the box out of sight.

Our wood and leather box is handmade and hand painted. It carries the livery of the biggest international mail service of the 19th C. The British Royal Mail Office.

They were made for diplomatic mail only.  

On the lid you will find two silver-plated brass engraved plaques, one for the sender, one for the addressee. 

These boxes were rare and highly collectable.  This is a true replica in all details.  Handmade. Wood. Brass. Hand stitched leather. Brass hardware.
